non-profit communications strategist

Your work is good.

The people who need it should be able to find it.

I work with nonprofit and human-service organizations to close that gap. With a structured approach to digital communication that is built to hold up after I leave.

Nonprofit focused

The organizations doing the most important work aren't always the ones communicating it most clearly.

Most nonprofit leaders know when something is off. Programs are strong, the team is committed, but the website hasn't kept up. Messaging drifts across teams. The people you most want to reach can't find their way to you. That gap between the quality of your work and how clearly it communicates, that's what I fix.

Your programs are invisible.

You've built something worth showing up for. The people you serve are searching. When your digital presence hasn't kept pace, they can't find you.

Your impact isn't landing with funders.

Funders aren't just looking for numbers. They're looking for a story that makes investment feel obvious and inevitable.

Your community doesn't know you exist.

Word of mouth only goes so far. Without a clear, consistent digital presence, the people you were built to serve can't find their way in.

Your communication hasn't caught up.

Growth changes everything. New programs, new audiences, new leadership. Communication is often the last thing to update, leaving a gap between who you are and how you're understood.

Frequently asked questions.

Do you work alone, or is there a team?
We're a team of four. I lead client strategy and communications work, and my team supports delivery across design, development, and implementation.
Who do you work with?
Nonprofits and human-service organizations. The common thread is that communication carries real responsibility, whether that's regulated environments, publicly accountable services, or emotionally sensitive work.
How long does a typical engagement last?
Anywhere from 12 weeks to a year, depending on what an organization actually needs. Some engagements are short and focused. Others are ongoing fractional work.
In what capacity can you be hired?
DRMi can be contracted as a Fractional Marketing Consultant for internal and external communications. When websites are part of that work, I shape the structure, mockups, and conversion points. Your organization contracts a designer to build.
How many clients do you take on at once?
I only work with three organizations at a time. It keeps the work focused and means each client gets real attention.
What does it cost?
Every engagement is scoped differently depending on what your organization actually needs. The best way to get a real answer is a short conversation.

You already know something needs to change. Let's start there.

Tell me what's not working. I'll tell you honestly whether this is the right fit and what it would take to move forward.
